To this end, the Company`s product candidate intended for penetration of the anaesthesia niche is Tocudin™.   Tocudin™ is a product refined from an abundant and naturally occurring sodium channel blocking compound called tetrodotoxin (TTX) which, using the Company`s proprietary technology, is extracted from the fugu, or blowfish.

Targeted at the local and topical anaesthetic market, for patients undergoing surgery or procedures for which general anaesthesia (loss of consciousness) may be impractical or unnecessary, Tocudin™ is currently undergoing intensive preclinical testing.
