International Wex Technologies Inc. (the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Bruce Hay, CA, as Chief Financial Officer effective March 1, 2004 and the appointment of Don Evans as Vice President, Corporate Communications.

Bruce Hay, a Director of the Company since September 2001, has been active in the pharmaceutical industry in various capacities including being Director of QLT Phototherapeutics Inc. from 1984 to 1988, co-founder of ImmGenics Pharmaceuticals Inc. and has served as CFO of ARC Pharmaceuticals Inc. since 2002.

Don Evans joined the Company in October 2002 and in April 2003 became the Investor Relations' Communication Liaison to the brokerage and institutional industry. Don has over 20 years experience in the business and investment community.

Mr. Hay has been granted stock options to acquire 50,000 common shares at a purchase price of $5.53.

International Wex Technologies Inc., a publicly listed neuro-bioscience company (WXI), is focused on the development and commercialization of innovative drug products, primarily for pain management.
