International Wex Technologies Inc. (the "Company")
is pleased to announce that the United States Patent
and Trademark Office (USPTO) has officially issued
to the Company a patent under the title of "System
for Extracting Tetrodotoxin".
This patent covers the system for extracting TTX from
biological tissues. More importantly, the system
enables us to produce TTX not only with high yield but
at a commercially viable scale. Since the drug
products which the Company is developing address the
needs of millions of patients in the world, the
manufacturing technologies for TTX as the major drug
substance have been made ready and protected. This
patent also complements the other two patents which the
Company owns for the treatment of drug addiction and
pain management. To date the Company has eight more
patent applications pending and numerous others to be
filed in connection to its TTX platform technology,
among other things. The Company will continue to build
up its intellectual properties and obtain protection
world wide.
In the area of neuro-bioscience, the Company is
focusing on the fields of pain management, drug
addiction treatment and anaesthesia. The Company
is developing products that contain a sodium
channel blocking compound and derivatives extracted
from natural organic substance using its
proprietary manufacturing technology.
