Phase I Clinical Trial completed in China

International Wex Technologies Inc., (the "Company") is pleased to announce that the Phase I clinical trials begun in China as per our news release of July 24, 2002 have been completed on schedule. The results are being compiled and a report is expected shortly.

Mr. Frank Shum, President stated that, "Now that the Phase I in China is completed all attention is now drawn to designing a good Phase II clinical trial for China. It is our intention to enter the next stage as soon as possible". Mr. Shum added, "The Canadian experience with Phase I allowed us to make a very fast yet very good study. As you know, Phase I is for healthy volunteers. We exceeded the single dosage to those given in Canada and are cautiously optimistic that with this additional learning curve plus the information gathered, greater confidence can be placed on the safety margin of our product for human use".

In the area of neuro-bioscience, the Company is focusing on the fields of pain management, drug addiction treatment and anaesthesia. The Company is developing products that contain a sodium channel blocking compound and derivatives extracted from natural organic substance using its proprietary manufacturing technology.
