Wex invited to address 2002 overseas Chinese High-Tech Expo

International Wex Technologies Inc., the 'Company', is pleased to announce that its President & CEO, Mr. Frank Shum will attend 2002 Overseas Chinese High-Tech Expo as a keynote speaker. This expo will be held in Beijing, the capital of P.R. China, from May 11 to 12, 2002. Over 100 companies from biotechnology and other industries, thousands of business leaders, investors and scholars from all over the world, as well as P.R.C. government officials will participate with focus on market entry of North America Free Trade Area (NAFTA). Major topics will be investment, collaboration and marketing issues related to high technologies in NAFTA after China's accession to WTO. Mr. Shum says, "I will take the opportunity to introduce Wex' significant achievements and successful experience in North America as a biotech company which operates in Canada and China. We will also take advantage of the exposure for networking opportunities with high caliber business leaders and investors."

In the area of neuro-bioscience, the Company is focusing on the fields of pain management, drug addiction treatment and anaesthesia. The Company is developing products that contain a sodium channel blocking compound and derivatives extracted from natural organic substance using its proprietary manufacturing technology.
