Poster Awarded 'Best of Show' at ASCPT

International Wex Technologies Inc. (the "Company") is pleased to announce Dr. Edward Sellers, President and CEO of Ventana Clinical Research Corporation and the Company's Chief Medical Clinical Consultant, made two poster presentations relating to Tetrodotoxin Phase I clinical studies at the American Society Clinical Pharmacology Therapeutics Convention held in Atlanta Georgia on Tuesday March 26, 2002.

The first poster was called Pharmacologic Effects and Safety of Single and Multiple Doses of Tetrodotoxin (TTX) and the second Comparison of Adverse Drug Effects (ADEs) of Tetrodotoxin (TTX) in Healthy Volunteers with the Analgesic Effect in Patients. The first poster won the Best of Show award. The authors for the first poster were E.M. Sellers, MD, PhD, M.K. Romach, MD, A. Ho Ngoc, PhD, S. Lu, MD, H.L. Kaplan, PhD, D.N. Juurlink, MD, B.P. du Souich, MD, PhD, Ventana Clinical Research Corporation, International Wex Technologies Inc., University of Toronto, and University of Montreal. The authors for the second were P. du Souich, MD, PhD, E.M. Sellers, MD, PhD, H.L. Kaplan PhD, S. Lu, M.D., University of Montreal, Ventana Clinical Research Corporation and International Wex Technologies Inc.

In the area of neuro-bioscience, the Company is focusing on the fields of pain management, drug addiction treatment and anaesthesia.
