Permission Granted In Canada For Phase II Opiate Study To Begin

International Wex Technologies Inc., the "Company"
is pleased to announce that we have received a No
Objection Letter from Health Canada. This allows
the Company's opiate withdrawal treatment, using
Tetrodin(tm), to be administered to patients in
Canada.
With this letter the Company can proceed to arrange
for the double-blind, placebo controlled, fixed
repeated-dose efficacy and safety study of
Tetrodin(TM) in opiate withdrawal patients.
The clinical facility will be at Ventana Clinical
Research Corporation in Toronto. Dr. E. Sellers is
the qualified investigator and the co-investigator
is Dr. M. Romach. A total of 16 individuals will
be entered into the study based upon healthy male
and females over the age of 18 who use methadone as
maintenance and are physically dependent upon opiates
In the area of neuro-bioscience, the Company is
focusing on the fields of pain management, drug
addiction treatment and anaesthesia. The Company
is developing products that contain a sodium
channel blocking compound and derivatives extracted
from natural organic substance using its
proprietary manufacturing technology.
