Mr. Frank Shum, CEO of International Wex Technologies Inc. (the "Company"), announces that our first IND (Investigational New Drug ) application has been filed with HPB (Health Protection Branch Canada). This major North American milestone has been achieved on time and within cost projections.

During the coming 60-day period, HPB will comment, question and/or give acceptance on our IND application. Approval will allow the Company to proceed with Phase Ia clinical testing using our drug Tetrodin on a group of humans. Successful completion of this stage on safety testing using a dose ranging study will allow the Company to proceed to Phase Ib and Ic. It is understood that successful completion of these Phase I stages are acceptable to USFDA and EMEA and therefore will not need repeating in the USA and EC.
