Mr. Frank Shum, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of International Wex Technologies Inc. (the "Company"), is pleased and proud to announce that Ms. Donna Shum has been appointed to fill the position of Chief Operating Officer (C.O.O.). This is to reflect the changing responsibilities at Head Office and the scope of the Company's concentration to bring Tetrodin before the various world regulatory bodies. As was previously announced the first of such meetings, pre-IND (Investigational New Drug), will take place August 31st in Ottawa with the HPB. Ms. Shum will continue her existing duties as Corporate Secretary and Chief Financial Officer (C.F.O.).

Tetrodin(HT) has been developed by the company primarily as a treatment for the symptoms associated with withdrawal from all opiate addictions such as morphine, opium, heroin and methadone. It is a non-narcotic pharmaceutical that has proven to be safe and effective and functions well in both primary withdrawal treatment and abstinence maintenance (longer term use) of drug addiction. The company has also begun tests on the usage of Tetrodin(HT) as a potent analgesic.
