WEX appoints Advisory Board

International Wex Technologies Inc. (the "company") is pleased to
announce that it has selected a renowned group of experts in the
fields of Science, Law and Finance as advisors. Each advisor has
specialized in depth knowledge that is invaluable to the company as
it addresses major issues. These issues include transition from
R&D to international conformity with regulatory applications;
financial capability during this application process and legal
ramifications of the corporate actions while we seek major strategic
partners.
The initial Advisory Board members are:
- Professor Cai, Zhi-Ji, National Institute on Drug
Dependence, Beijing Medical University. Internationally
recognized as one of the leaders in research on Drug
Dependence. Since 1984 a member of WHO Expert Advisory
Panel on Drug Dependence and Alcohol problems. He is also
on the Executive Board, International Society of Addiction
(ISAM).
- Dr. Anh Ho Ngoc, Montreal, currently, an independent
consultant providing pharmaceutical and medical device
companies global strategic planning in gaining faster
regulatory approval. 1984 - 1999 Dr. Ho was with Rhone
Poulenc Rorer Canada Inc., completing the term as Director,
Regulatory Affairs. Dr. Ho is Lecturer at the University of
Montreal and for the last ten years has taught medicinal
stereochemistry.
- Professor Li, Peizhong, Director of Toxicology
Department, Beijing Institute of Pharmacology & Toxicology.
President, Toxicology Society of CPS. He holds membership in
the GLP Specialist Commission of SDA, State Specialist of
SDA for New Drug Assess, Pharmacological Society, Toxicology
Society of CNPHARS along with being Editor of the Journal of
Chinese Pharmaceutical Sciences and Food and Chemical
Toxicology.
- Dr. Andrew G. Parfitt, Personal Services Contractor,
Contract Research with the National Institute of Health, Silver
Springs Maryland to develop and exploit new methodology for
fluorescence analysis of morphologic dynamics and of synaptic
vesicle exo- and endocytosis, using cultures of mouse spinal
cord neurons. Dr. Parfitt has over 21 publications to his credit.
- Professor Zhang, Jun-Tian, Director, Institute of Materia
Medica, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. Internationally
recognized in pharmalogical studies. His memberships include the
Chinese Pharmacological Society and more than 200 of his papers
have been published in over 10 journals. He is a member of the
Scientific Council and Degree Approval Committee of the Chinese
Academy of medical Sciences.
- Professor, Zheng, Jiwang, Director, National Institute
on Drug Dependence, Beijing Medical University. Member of the
WHO, Commission on Narcotic Drugs.
- Dr. Franz-Josef Braun, Germany, retired recently to live
in Canada. During his professional career he was a medical
internalist. He now enjoys the study and research on medicine.
- Mr. Pierre A. Lopez, Canadian, 20 years experience in
the healthcare field primarily in the area of medical devices.
Director of Burrard Capital Group Inc. and VP/Business Development
for Destiny Healthcare Inc.
- Mr. Egon Andre, retired Dutch architect, now a financial
advisor in Canada & Europe. Former professional soccer player
and
President of the 2nd largest soccer club in Germany (72-84).
- Mr. A.J. Miller, financial and entrepreneurial businessman
and executive of The Hamilton Companies LLC. Hamilton Oil was
among the first major successful North Sea Oil exploration companies.
- Dr. D.D. Huang, lawyer, China and Canada. Dr. Huang, B.A.,
LL.B, LL.M., LL.B, LL.D. Associate with Fasken Martineau DuMoulin.
An adjunct professor at Wuhan University Law School, a Visiting
professor at Qindao University, and a special Lecturer at Lam
Centre
for International Communication at Simon Fraser University. He
is
expressly authorized by the Canadian Venture Exchange to undertake
China-related legal work for public companies. He has offices
in
Beijing and Vancouver.
- Dr. Rolf-Dieter Moenning, lawyer, partner in the leading
insolvency law firm in Germany. A lecturer of law at the University
of Bonn and lecture presentations at the University at Cologne.
Dr.
Moenning has offices in the former East Germany and Poland.
Tetrodin(HT) has been developed by the company primarily as a
treatment for the symptoms associated with withdrawal from all opiate
addictions such as morphine, opium, heroin and methadone. It is a
non-narcotic pharmaceutical that has proven to be safe and effective
and functions well in both primary withdrawal treatment and abstinence
maintenance (longer term use) of drug addiction. The company has also
begun tests on the usage of Tetrodin(HT) as a potent analgesic.
